In today's market, the answer to that question can be problematic.  You cannot determine your value based on what properties in your neighborhood sold for a couple of years ago.  Values have declined significantly, in part as a result of the Bank Owned Properties and the Short Sales.  You really do need a professional to help you anaylse the market to determine value in today's marketplace.
