Good Sunday Morning Everyone,

It was a long time coming but Spring is finally showing it's shining face in the White Mountains.  The Daffodils, Tulips, Violets, and Crocus are surfacing and the ground is softening up.  It won't be long before it's time to think about planting those summer flowers. 

Along with Spring comes the next season for Buyer's in the High Country.  We are already seeing an increase in activity both in phone calls and on the various websites.  Most of the agents in my office, myself included, have been out showing property and writing contracts this past week.

There are some find properties hitting the market now too.  Sellers get inspired to sell when the temperatures heat up and that is the case this year too.  The difference than in years past is that those properties are coming on the market at prices that are at or just slightly above the early pre-boom days.  Seller's are disappointed but have realized that the high priced days are likely gone forever and if they need to sell they need to price their properties competitively.

There are still foreclosures and short sales in the marketplace but not as many as in the past couple of years.  For sellers that is good because that means we may be seeing the beginning of the end of the free fall in prices and the market may be showing signs of stabilizing.

For Buyers it's a great time to buy because there is still a good inventory of homes available and most sellers are motivated to sell.  You need to be pre-qualified but if you have good job stability, good credit, and are serious about buying, now is the time to let go of the Fear Factor that may have been holding you back.  Serious buyers are finding some excellent values and are looking forward to having a nice place in the High Country to spend the summer.
