What makes me different?

 

I am always hard pressed to answer this question because the truth is Real Estate Agents all pretty much do the same things.  They list and sell property to people who want to sell or buy property.  Certainly there are specialty areas; Property management, commercial real estate and new home sales, but the bottom line is we all attend school and pass a State Exam to get a license to do what we do. 

So what is it that makes one agent stand out above others?  Is it the Television Ad or the 1/2 page ad in the local newspaper?  Is it the full page ad in the local Real Estate Book?  Maybe the agent just looks really good in their head shot!  Perhaps it is a personal website that always shows up on page one of google that grabs attention.  The only thing that really matters is how much boots on the ground experience an agent has, and the number of successful transactions an agent has to their credit.  Experience and knowledge of the business, as well as local market conditions are qualities a potential seller or buyer needs to know.  Does the agent know the market?  Can they provide good comps for a property to be sold?  Can they justify pricing for a home someone wants to buy?

What about an agent’s ability to work around, crawl-over, or bulldog through obstacles that can surface?  Are they tenacious and creative when an issue surfaces and possess the ability to look for a solution rather than just give up? It sometimes takes a lot of stubborn determination to get things done in a real estate transaction.  Lenders, appraisals, homes inspections, sellers and buyers too, can get in the way of a smooth transaction.  The key is finding an agent who can work around those obstacles and keep things moving forward so the sale makes it to the closing table.

That said, I can honestly say I fit all of these categories.  With over 17 years of experience, nearly 13 of that in the White Mountain market, I know the market.  The years of experience speak for themselves.  Tenacity and determination are my middle names.  I can provide references from clients where those qualities kept a sale together when it looked like it wasn’t going to happen.
