It has been a while since I posted here, I have been busy with the Holiday preparations and shoveling snow! Yes there is lots of snow in the White Mountains and the ski areas are open.  The merchants in the area are hoping you will come visit soon to do some of your Yuletide celebrations and Gift Buying.  Don't miss the Thursday evening Stroll the Deuce and see what our local merchants and artisans have to offer.  Some great gift ideas.

Speaking of gifts, how about a new house for Christmas, or at least in the New Year?  Priced are the best we have seen in a very long time and sellers are waiting for your offer to come in. 

I know, you keep hearing that you need a lot of money down in order to buy a home.  That is just not true!  With good credit scores and good income, you can qualify for as little as 3.5% down with an FHA Loan.  USDA Loans can be up to 100%.  Now mind you it must be for a primary residence, not a second home, but I know lenders who have very favorable rates even for second home buyers.

Now is the time to buy! Prices are outstanding, Interest rates are low, and while the selection is a little bit lower than it was, that is good news for buyers for future equity growth.  Many folks jumped in the market this fall and found some outstanding values on mountain homes.  They are still out there too.  Whether you are looking for a small cabin in the woods are a find home in a gated community, there are some great deals to be had.  You only have to look.
